I first became interested in photography while in the Navy, stationed at Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean. My first camera was a Penntax 35mm SLR, and my medium was black and white photography. Because of this interest, I spent a great deal of time in the darkroom learning the techniques of that medium. I had a wonderful time discovering where my interests lay regarding subject matter and style.

Throughout the years, I have moved to other film cameras and color photography. When digital photography became popular, I embraced this art form and have worked to master the computer programs associated with processing digital photography.

Today, I am working with a Canon EOS Digital Rebel camera and processing photographs on a Gateway GT5412 computer with a duo core processor in Vista Windows. I am printing photographs on a Canon imagePROGRAF 5000 wide format printer using pigment-based archival inks and acid free archival photograph papers. I do my own mounting and framing with archival materials.
